Restaurant Style Garlic Chicken


Ingredients:

·         Chicken boneless cubes ½ kg

·          Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste

·         Kali Mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp

·         Soy sauce 1 tbs

·         Leshan (Garlic) cloves 9-10

·         Cooking oil 3-4 tbs

·         Hari Mirch (Green chili) chopped 1 tbs

·         Lal Mirch powder (Red chili powder) ½ tsp or to taste

·         Sugar 1 tbs

·         Namak (Salt) ¼ tsp or to taste

·         Chilli sauce 2 tbs

·         Tomato ketchup 4 tbs

·         Yakhni (Stock) 2 Cups

·         Cornflour 2 tbs

·         Water 1-2 tbs

·         Hara pyaz (Green onion) white part cubes ½ Cup

·         Shimla Mirch (Capsicum) cubes ½ Cup

·         Red bell pepper cubes ½ Cup

·         Sirka (Vinegar) 1 tbs

·         Hara pyaz (Green onion) leaves

Directions:

  • In a bowl, add chicken, salt, black pepper powder, and soy sauce, mix well, and marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Chop the garlic coarsely & set it aside.
  • In a wok, add cooking oil, chopped garlic, and fry until golden & reserve 1 tbs for garnish.
  • Add green chili, mix well and cook for a minute.
  • Add marinated chicken and mix well until it changes color, cover, and cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes then cook on high flame until oil separates.
  • Add red chili powder, sugar, salt, chili sauce, and tomato ketchup, mix well and cook for a minute.
  • Add stock, mix well and bring it to boil.
  • In corn flour, add water and whisk well.
  • Now add dissolved Cornflour, mix well and cook until thickens (2-3 minutes).
  • Add green onion white part, capsicum, red bell pepper, vinegar and mix well.
  • Add green onion leaves and mix.
  • Garnish with reserved fried garlic, green onion leaves & serve with boiled rice.
